Pre-stretch film is a wrapping film for pallet stabilisation that is pre-stretched during production. The films tightly wrap around your goods and secure them in the best possible way for transport. The advantage of hand rollers is that less force is required on the film; as manual stretching is not needed, a lot less intensive work input for the operator. In addition, the hand rolls are lighter than the standard stretch hand rolls, which is easier to work with.
Standard film will continue to stretch during transport when braking or moving whereas pre-stretch film does not stretch further and helps keeping the pallet stable.
Pre-stretch wraps per meter price is usually higher than standard pallet wraps however fewer rolls are needed compared to standard pallet wraps in order to obtain stable pallet securing.
