Machine stretch film is a highly stretchable, tough and puncture-resistant film made of the PE (polyethylene) plastic. In most cases it is 500 mm wide and, depending on the thickness of the film, has quite a high number of linear meters in order to ensure the most efficient and smooth workflow possible.
Machine stretch film is used on special industrial wrapping machines to wrap pallets. Depending on the quality, the wrapping film is very strongly pre-stretched and "wrapped" around the pallet. When used correctly, the high pre-stretching ensures a secure hold and stabilizes the pallet for transport and storage.
